Our Sensory Hour (3:00pm – 4:00pm) is designed for those who may benefit from a quieter, lower-stimulation environment.

During this time, we aim to provide:
✨ Reduced crowd numbers (ticketed to help manage flow)
✨ Dimmed lighting where possible
✨ A calmer, more relaxed atmosphere
✨ Considered stallholder participation

General entry to Ōtautahi Made is free, however we recommend booking a ticket to help us manage capacity and ensure the best experience for everyone.

Getting There

Te Pae is centrally located and easy to access by car, bus, bike, or on foot.

​

By Car

There are multiple public car parks within walking distance, including:

• Lichfield Street Car Park

• The Crossing Car Park

• Riverside Market Car Park

We recommend allowing extra time during peak periods.

By Bus

Te Pae is well serviced by Christchurch’s bus network, with central stops just a short walk away.

Plan your journey via Environment Canterbury (Metro services).

By Bike

Bike stands are available throughout the central city, making cycling a great option.

On Foot

Te Pae is within easy walking distance from key central city locations including Riverside Market, The Terrace, and Cathedral Square.

Parking

 

Te Pae does not have dedicated public parking, however there are several nearby paid parking options within a short walk.
